Our Story
Founded in 2022, Zolve Environmental is a passionate team based in South Canterbury, dedicated to making a positive impact on Aotearoa New Zealand’s environment.
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: turn ideas into reality through tailored environmental solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients, whether they are private landowners, primary industries, Crown entities, or NGOs.
Zac Robinson, Managing Director, grew up on the West Coast and spent his formative years working with the DOC in the Southern Alps where he developed a deep connection to New Zealand’s natural landscapes.
His involvement in the emergency response to the Pike River Mine disaster and role as the National Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager for Port Blakely have fueled his passion for practical, grassroots health and safety solutions, as well as fostering a positive health and safety culture.
Zac’s diverse experiences in conservation and the high-profile mining and forestry industries, combined with his deep connection to New Zealand’s natural landscapes, were what inspired him to establish Zolve Environmental. His mission is to turn ideas into reality and support the success of great initiatives throughout Aotearoa.

We are privileged and humbled to be supporting and managing some of New Zealand's most complex environmental issues from Gisborne, to the Chatham Islands and everywhere in between.
For a small, new business we continually try to punch above our weight when it comes to our memberships, affiliations, volunteering hours and sponsorships.
We know that for a community to thrive it takes the support of all who live and work in it and we try hard to celebrate, recognise, listen to and amplify those who are working hard alongside us.
Our team is our greatest asset. We are a diverse group of professionals with a shared passion for environmental sustainability, biosecurity and safety.
Our team combines practical experience with deep knowledge to deliver comprehensive services in biosecurity, biodiversity, and health, safety, and wellbeing. We take great pride in our work and are privileged to be part of projects that enhance the natural beauty and health of our landscapes.
Zac leads the Zolve team with his diverse skill set, wide knowledge base and energetic, positive mindset. Chris is Zolve’s go to for strategic planning and operational management. Alice’s enthusiasm and creative thinking bring a fresh approach to each unique project and Janine’s organisational skills and attention to detail keep our projects on track.
